Precision Spider Rigging. Sensitive Bite Detection. Better Crappie Presentations.
Take your crappie fishing to the next level with the BnM Capps-Coleman 14' Trolling Rod. Developed with accomplished tournament anglers Ronnie Capps and Steve Coleman, this specialized rod is designed for spider rigging and slow trolling with jigs and minnows.
Spider rigging is a crappie fishing technique that uses multiple long rods positioned in holders around the front of a boat to present several baits simultaneously. The Capps-Coleman's 14-foot length helps spread those presentations apart, while its lighter, sensitive action makes subtle crappie bites easier to detect.
Unlike heavier trolling rods intended for pulling crankbaits, the Capps-Coleman is built to maintain proper jig-and-minnow action during slow presentations.
The enlarged, bell-shaped handle allows small depth adjustments by moving the rod farther into its holder. An offset reel seat makes removing the rod from the holder easier when a fish strikes.
The upgraded RHV tip improves visibility, supports a more horizontal bait presentation, and features a durable guide design that helps reduce dislodged inserts.
